Brand Identity — 2025
Method is a running and everyday apparel brand built around a single idea — that the way you train is as important as the result. Dark, considered, and Swiss-influenced, the identity reflects a discipline-first approach to movement.
Running apparel branding tends to skew either clinical and performance-obsessed, or lifestyle-led and generic. Method needed to occupy the space between — serious without being sterile, wearable without being bland.
A Neue Haas Unica wordmark, near-black and off-white palette, single typeface system throughout. No decorative elements — the typography and spacing do all the work. Every application tested the same restraint.
Logo system, colour & type guidelines, hangtag, size label, gear stick tee, typographic poster.
Method was chosen from a shortlist that included Arise and Division. It won for its directness — no metaphor, no aspiration, just the word for how you work. Positioned at the intersection of running culture and everyday wear.
Neue Haas Unica as the sole typeface — chosen for its neutrality and Swiss heritage. Wordmark set in medium weight with tight tracking. Near-black (#0E0E0E) and off-white (#F0EDE8) as the complete palette. No accent colour, no exceptions.
Written alongside the visual identity to ensure the voice matched the aesthetic — direct, spare, without flourish. The brand statement informed how copy would sit across every application.
Hangtag, size label, gear stick tee, and typographic poster. Each application stripped back to its minimum — the identity had to work without any supporting decoration.
Gear stick tee — the wordmark centred on a near-black base. No secondary graphic, no supporting text.
Typographic poster and hangtag. The poster uses structural typesetting to carry the brand statement — the hangtag distils it to its smallest physical form.
Size label and full identity overview. The system at its smallest and largest scales — consistent throughout.
